The library is a research library, which houses about 50.000 volumes.
The collections are located in building 27, Njalsgade 136, in the new KUA.
The library of the department houses a rich collection of books within the specialised fields of the three sections. The library is open to the public; the books are, however, not available for loan - only for use on the premises.
Each section of the Institute has it's own part of the library located within reach of the scholars and visitors of the individual section.
- The Arnamagnæan Institute on the 2nd floor.
- Name Research on the 4th floor.
- Dialectology on the 5th floor.
The library is open on weekdays from 10 AM to 3 PM. It is closed on public holidays.
Researchers wishing to book a study place for an extended period of time please contact the librarian well in advance.
