Historian and journalist Dorthe Chakravarty invited me to talk about my dissertation in her podcast. The result is a conversation about the history of Danish child welfare based on the histories of the two young women Lily and Tove who were placed in the same re-education home in the 1930s. They were both diagnosed as psychopaths, however, the diagnosis had very different consequences for them. Through a micro perspective their stories reveal a dark side of Danish history.
